Okay I admit it, I’m not a Kenny G. fan.

That said, I fell hard for the sweet sax man after reading about his impromptu serenade he gave passengers on Delta Airlines on their trip from Tampa to San Francisco.

And if you’re wondering how it happened… no, he didn’t just get up randomly and start to play.

He did it for charity.

Here’s the scoop:

A flight attendant onboard named Jane had lost her daughter to cancer at the age of 30, and has since worked with Relay for Life to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

After a bit of begging on her part, the musician agreed to play for the plane if they could raise $1,000 for the charity.

Well, it took them almost five minutes to raise close to double that (according to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay), and Kenny G delivered on his promise.” —COS

What caught my attention was the randomness of this gift and how utterly out-of-the-ordinary this treat was and how every passenger and flight attendant on that plane will remember the experience forever.

And the story will be retold over and over again.

What does this have to do with your wellness business?
