Hi Sweet Peeps,

Yesterday I went to our local post office to renew my passport.

It was long overdue and so has a vacation outside of the country. Like ten years overdue.

Having lived in other countries (in my 20’s) I was able to appreciate how fast the process went here. Within 15 minutes I was in and out.

And yet….

I couldn’t help but feel the subtle energy of fear growing in my gut at the thought of how this process might change under a new government.

I quickly released the thought and tuned into gratitude, counting all my blessings, of which there are so many.

Have you felt this subtle uneasiness lately?

Recently, I renewed my commitment to self care with more short, sweet daily guided meditations, two daily walks instead of one and a relentless trusting of my heart when it comes to decision making.

I’m loving this practice as it is helping me stayed centered, grounded and focused on my work.

How are you doing these days?

Is there anything special you’ve tweaked in your healthcare or wellness environment that is helping you, your team and your patients or clients feel more at ease during this heightened stressful time?

3 Simple Design Tips To Help Create Calm In Your Wellness Space

  1. Place interactive design elements in your waiting room like adult coloring books which have been shown to calm the nervous system. Coloring books can also make waiting for an appointment much more enjoyable.
  2. Replenish your herbal tea offerings with more varietylike calming chamomile, kava, passionflower, lemon balm and others that relax the nervous system.
  3. Turn down the volume of your waiting room, exam or treatment room by painting the walls a new color.  This is especially important if your walls are painted a warm color.

Intelligent blues, greens and whites can have an instant calming effect on the nervous system the moment you and your peeps step into your space.

If you’ve been on the fence about painting your health or wellness space a new color now might be the perfect time to take the plunge.

Through Monday, November 28th, I’m offering 25% off my book, The Color Cure: How to transform your healthcare office, clinic or treatment room into an oasis by choosing the perfect paint.
