Dear Ones,

On Saturday afternoon I had tea with my acupuncturist client who is also one of my favorite peeps.

She is a leader in her community with a kick-ass compassionate world-changing vision to expand some of the tools that acupuncturists use in diagnosing their patients.

When I asked her if she had painted her treatment room the exquisite nurturing color we selected over the activating and agitating current yellow, she gently replied with, “No, not yet.”

“Have you replaced your chair yet?, I asked inquisitively.

“Nope, haven’t done anything with that either,” She replied. “I I haven’t been able to move forward.”

My big message to you today?

Sometimes it’s just not the right time to implement your new remodel or redesign project.

And that’s perfect. I encourage you to listen to that voice.

But, what happens, when you are waiting for the perfect time and then it just doesn’t show up…. and the energy in your wellness space starts to stagnate over longer periods of time?

How do you pull yourself out of that tired, stagnating energy and into creating a wellness space and business you really desire?

First, here’s what NOT to do:

Do NOT push yourself so hard that all you want to do is curl up in a ball and hide under a rock somewhere. [I’ve been there.]

Instead, be very gentle on yourself.

Don’t overwhelm yourself with thinking about the immensity of the project.

Even thinking about five things at the same time can cause stress and overwhelm.

Instead do this:

Think of the easiest and most affordable design change you could do within the next two days.

This might be the one thing that costs $30 and is a click away on Amazon.

Ask yourself to buy this one thing.

It can also be one can of paint or one new piece of artwork.

By breaking down your bigger design project into smaller easy-to-manage pieces, you remove the block that is keeping you from moving forward.

And then, after you install that one new design item in your space, suddenly things start to shift and you gain momentum and inspiration that will propel you to the next step.

Try it and see what happens.
