There’s been so much topsy turvy, chaotic energy in the world lately and I, along with so many of us, have wondered what I can contribute to tip the scales so that our collective love grows bigger, Brighter and STRONGER.

The answer I got was a simple one: Hugs.

Hugs are the best medicine.

Here’s why:

√ A hug can instantly take someone out of feeling scared and into a place of feeling safe.

A hug can make someone feel like their not alone.

Hugs are good for your health. This is especially important for babies and the elderly.

√ Hugs release stress. When we embrace, we immediately reduce the amount of the stress hormone cortisol produced in our bodies.

√ Hugs make our bodies release tension and send calming messages to the brain.

√ Hugs (and other acts of compassion) are so powerful, they have thwarted suicide attempts.

My big message to you today?

Hugs are an easy tool to make love, strengthen connections and help heal our planet.

Give out more hugs to your family, your pets, your work and patient peeps, your friends and maybe even a stranger. (I’ve tried this and it rocks.)

The longer the hug, the better.

Wishing you a happy 4th of July filled with deep, soulful hugging.

XOOOOO,

Cheryl
